Jillian Hardgrove

Jillian Hardgrove has worked with students of varying age groups and backgrounds throughout her career. She taught twelfth grade English at Spring-Ford Area Senior High School for six years where she was also the faculty advisor of the student literary magazine staff.

Jillian has also taught summer school English to students in the middle grades in the Coatesville Area School District and journalism and study skills courses to high school students at the Summer Study Programs at Penn State University. She has tutored middle and high school students in ESL, French and general study skills. As a Certified Literacy Tutor, Jillian helped students in the Adult Diploma Program.

Jillian earned her B.S. in Secondary English Education and Communications at Penn State University, where she was a Schreyer Honors Scholar and wrote her thesis on implementing experiential learning projects in the Language Arts classroom. She earned her M. Ed. in School Library and Information Technology from Mansfield University of Pennsylvania.

Jillian enjoys developing projects and materials for students which encourage their creativity, critical thinking skills, and self-sufficiency.
