Chris Rush

Early in his career, Chris served as an Outdoor Education Chairperson and taught Earth Sciences at an environmental education center with the Upper Dublin (PA) School District. Since 2010, has been appearing as a recurring guest lecturer at the Harvard Business School and serves on the NationsSwell Council along with the advisory boards of multiple education startups including Transcend, ABL Schools and ReUp Education. He holds a BS in Information Systems from Penn State with concentrations in Computer Science, Technological Ethics and Critical Thinking; a MS in Information Technology from the American InterContinental University and a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.

Chris also is a Pahara-Aspen Education Fellow at the Aspen Institute. Most recently, he led the overall conceptualization, design and implementation of the School of One/Teach to One personalized learning programs which were named one of Time Magazine’s Top 50 Inventions of the Year. Previously, he led design and development of Amplify’s (formerly Wireless Generation) mCLASS reporting systems and initiated the creation of their first consulting services group. Prior to that, Chris worked with the NYCDOE, co-leading the design of the of their citywide parent, teacher and administrator longitudinal data system. Additionally, Chris specialized in financial management & IT development services at IBM and also founded a pair of small tech startups during the early dot-com era.
